Earth Day 2021- Earth Day Toolkits

EARTHDAY.ORG’s theme for Earth Day 2021 is Restore Our Earth™, which focuses on natural processes, emerging green technologies, and innovative thinking that can restore the world’s ecosystems. In this way, the theme rejects the notion that mitigation or adaptation are the only ways to address climate change. It is up to each and every one of us to Restore Our Earth not just because we care about the natural world, but because we live on it. We all need a healthy Earth to support our jobs, livelihoods, health & survival, and happiness. A healthy planet is not an option — it is a necessity.

More than 1 billion people in 192 countries now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world. Today, we invite you to be a part of Earth Day and to help further climate action across the globe.

I know that when I think about global issues such as deforestation, climate change, unsustainable agriculture, I often get paralyzed by the magnitude of the problem and what steps I can take to support the cause. That is why I was so excited to find EarthDay.org’s Earth Day media toolkit. This toolkit has Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook ready text and separate downloadable images. It also has resources for educating students, organizing events, and information about EarthDay.org specific campaigns including The Canopy Project.

Need more inspiration? Check out their article on “51 Ways to Restore Our Earth”. Or visit EarthDay.org to find out about their live digital event that will begin at 12:00 pm Eastern Time on April 22, 2021. This live event will include workshops, panel discussions, and special performances focusing on the theme of Restore the Earth.

I am excited to be part of EARTHDAY.ORG’s Restore Our Earth campaign for the 51st Earth Day! A more sustainable world requires efforts in every aspect of our society and that starts with YOU. I can certainly agree that a healthy planet is not an option – it is a NECESSITY. Great information here to help us all roll up our sleeves and pitch in – even in some little way – to support our beautiful little planet, that gives us Her “all and everything” to sustain LIFE as we know it, in all its forms. Happy Earth Day tomorrow, everyone!
